About The Author
Brad Haubert has spent his entire career in the homebuilding industry – building over 1,000 new homes in central Pennsylvania. He now actively consults with Home Builders all across North America.
He married his college sweetheart, Pam, and – together – they raised two fantastic children.
For the past 20+ years, Brad has been involved with his church’s children’s Vacation Bible School ministry and church camp.
He makes his debut as a children’s author with The Fort That Was – pulling from personal experiences to write this story of finding hope while going through times of despair.

Gloria Galland is a budding artist and illustrator whose talent is just beginning to blossom.
She recently completed her first illustrations for the book The Fort That Was.
With a background in arts from the Vancouver School of Arts and Academics and a passion for musical theater, Gloria’s artistic journey is marked by creativity and exploration.
Currently a college student, Gloria is eagerly pursuing her passion, poised to make a lasting impact in the world of art and illustration.
